      Hi –

      I’m Amber, and I live in Nevada County, CA. My husband and I have five children, ranging from 14 yrs to 2 yrs old (boys in the middle, girls at either end). I blog at http://flareoflight.blogspot.com and I am on Instagram as @ambervanderpol. I’m a Charlotte Mason Educator and have been for about five years. I have been trying to educate classically all along, but my vision of what that means has changed as I’ve grown in understanding of what a classical education is.

      I’m also very interested in building community among home educators, and I’m one of the people behind charlottemasonwest.com.

      I’m really looking forward to seeing the Scholé community grow, and I’m excited to be a part of it.

      Would you believe I do not know where Nevada County is? I will have to pull out my state map to find you, Amber!
